14/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 14 February, the European Parliament approved a proposal to give a precise definition of a drift net. The report by Rosa Miguélez Ramos (PES, Spain) was adopted, with no amendments, by 663 votes to 17, with 10 abstentions (see EUROPE 9358 for detailed information on the report). (lc)
