“Environment, innovation, employment” - triO chosen as main theme of German EU Council Presidency - Energy and climate: absolute priority

Brussels, 23/01/2007 (Agence Europe) - Environment policy is a priority of the German EU Council Presidency. The environment/innovation/employment trio will be the leading theme of a special Environment Council meeting to be held by the Presidency from 1 to 3 June. Sigmar Gabriel, German Environment Minister for the protection of nature and nuclear safety and President-in-Office of the EU Council, confirmed this to the European Parliament on 23 January.
