Erkki Tuomioja at UN to speak about Cyprus

Brussels, 20/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - Finnish foreign minister and current President of the Council of the EU Erkki Tuomioja will travel to New York on Friday 22 December for talks with United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan and his successor (from 1st January 2007) Ban Ki-moon. Discussions will focus on the reunification of Cyprus (the Annan plan was rejected by Greek Cypriots in a referendum in April 2004), the situation in the Middle East, the crisis in Sudan/Darfur, Iraq and UN...
