Brussels, 19/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Commission gave its approval to the acquisition of sole control of Diskont und Kredit AG and Disko Leasing GmbH (which together form the Disko Group) of Germany and ASL Auto Service-Leasing GmbH (ASL) of Germany by the General Electric Company (GE) of the United States. It also gave the green light to the acquisition of sole control of the Doosan Corporation (Doosan) of South Korea by Mitsui Babcock of the United Kingdom. The Commission approved, too, the acquisition of sole control of trans-o-flex GmbH of Germany by the Austrian postal service Österreichische Post AG. All three transactions were examined under the simplified procedure. (cd)
