19/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 19 December, the EU Council of Ministers adopted the text of the new partnership agreement on fisheries between the EU and Cape Verde (see EUROPE 9319 for the Parliament's opinion and No 9229 for the detailed proposal). The agreement covers a period of five years from its entry into force scheduled for 1 September 2006.
