The Russian government intends to take an additional stake in the European defence and aeronautics group EADS, in which the Russian State bank VTB has just bought a 5.02% of the capital, in order to obtain a blocking minority. Control of EADS is currently held by the French State, which holds 15%, alongside LAGARDERE with 15% as well, and the German company DAIMLERCHRYSLER (22.32%). Spain also owns 5.5%.
