14/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has approved the €5 million aid which Slovakia is proposing to grant to the Bana Dolina mining company. The aid will be granted for the years 2004 to 2010 and is set to cover the social and technical costs of the closure of the coal mine. The Commission considered this measure to be in line with EU legislation on State aid to the Coal industry.
