14/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs presented to the press on Thursday the “Microjoule” prototype car that won the European Shell Eco-Marathon on 19 May on the Nogaro circuit near Pau (France). It covered nearly 2,885 km on one litre of fuel. The “Microjoule”, designed by French students, is an ethanol-powered vehicle.
