25/08/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, Javier Solana told reporters that the question of Iran had been discussed in brief. He said the Iranian response to the Western offer contained 'new elements' which would have to be analysed before an answer could be given (see EUROPE 9249). He added that he had since spoken with Minister Larijani on two occasions and would be in contact with him again over the next few days.
