Brussels, 25/08/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Association of Paritarian Institutions of Social Protection (AEIP) is celebrating its tenth birthday in Brussels on 8 September at a ceremony opened by Bruno Gabellieri, AEIP Secretary General, followed by Leila Kostiainen, secretary of state at the Finnish Social Affairs and Health Ministry, and EU Employment and Social Affairs Commissioner Vladimir Spidla. MEP Ieke van den Burg and Roger Briesch, former President of the European Economic and Social Committee, will take part in a debate on solidarity in Europe, and a round table will look at the freedom of social partners and the paritarian model as keys to developing a social Europe, to be attended by AEIP President Bernard Devy and AEIP Vice-President Jacques Brossard, representing workers and employers respectively.
