24/08/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has granted clearance to the acquisition of sole control of Travelport (USA) by the Blackstone Group also from the USA. Travelport has a geographically diverse collection of travel distribution brands and businesses. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
