04/08/2006 (Agence Europe) - CDU MEP Inge Grässle has attacked the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the EU for continuing to publish a newsletter in Latin (entitled Conspectus Rerum Latinus) at the very moment when the cost of translations into every official EU language is being discussed. Is this not a case of “art for art's sake?”, she wonders ironically. In a written question to the Council, she asks how many subscribers there are to the newsletter.
