Commission clears acquisition of UPC France by Cinven

Brussels, 17/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the proposed acquisition of the French cable television, Internet and telephone service provider UPC France SA ("UPC France") by Cinven Limited (“Cinven"), a UK investment fund. Cinven is a risk-capital investment group which provides investment management advice and services. UPC France operates the cable networks of 650 municipalities or groups of municipalities in France.
