28/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Commission proposed a fixed and irrevocable conversion rate between the euro and the Slovenian tolar of 239.640 tolars for one euro, with effect from 1st January 2007. This is the central rate at which the tolar entered the exchange rate mechanism (ERMII) and to which the tolar-euro exchange rate has stayed close since 28 June 2004.
