Troika meeting consolidates Europe/Africa dialogue for implementing strategy for Africa, concerted treatment of immigration issues and respect for human rights

Brussels, 09/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - Political dialogue between the European Union and Africa took an “important step” forward in the sixth Ministerial meeting between the European Troika, represented at a Foreign Ministers level and the African Union on 8 May in Vienna (EUROPE 9186). It was in these terms that Ursula Plassnik, Austrian Foreign Affairs Minister Presiding the Council of Europe, described this meeting “between partners for peace, democracy and development”.
