Neelie Kroes would like details concerning possible German aid to gas pipeline project forming link with Russia

Brussels, 09/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes has written to the German Government calling on it to explain why a financial guarantee has been granted for the project to build a gas pipeline between Russia and Germany, The Financial Times on Tuesday reports. In her letter dated 20 April, the Commissioner calls for an explanation regarding the approach by the German authorities to provide a guarantee covering up to €1 billion of the costs of a project...
