€35 million loan to Pakistan

Luxembourg, 07/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) has just granted a loan of €35 million to DG Khan Cement Co Ltd, the leading cement producer in Pakistan, for the construction of a new cement works in the district of Chakwal. The project will allow essential support to be given to reconstruction following the earthquake last October, mainly for housing construction.
