Denmark announces flexibility of its employment market while keeping restrictions on free movement of workers from Eastern Europe in place

Brussels, 07/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - A political agreement sealed on 15 April between Liberals, Conservatives, Social-Democrats, the Socialist People's Party and the Social Liberal Party aims to further liberalise the Danish transitional agreement for migrant workers from the East European EU countries (see EUROPE 9168). In Denmark, despite the fact that transitional measures are being kept in place, it will therefore be easier to employ workers from the eight East European countries....
