Brussels, 30/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - According to data published on 24 March, there has been a worrying rise in tuberculosis in Eastern Europe. Since 1997, cases have been rising steadily, aggravated by the appearance of strains resistant to antibiotics and a trend towards HIV and TB co-infection.
