Parliament in favour of 233 million euro consumer action programme 2007-2013, separate from health action programme

Brussels, 24/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - In plenary session on 23 March, the European Parliament supported the objectives of the Community action programme for consumers for the period 2007-2013, but called on the European Commission to divide its proposed overall programme into two parts, one for consumer protection and the other for health (see EUROPE 9154 for the Trakatellis report on the “health” programme).
