New Zealand group AKZO NOBEL (turnover EUR 13 billion in 2005 with workforce of 61,500) will be selling its “Polymerization Catalysts & Components” business to BASELL POLYOLEFINS in the USA, the biggest polypropylene and polyolefin bases products manufacturer in the world. The activities in question saw turnover of almost USD 60 million in 2005 and employs 79 workers. The amount paid for the transaction was not disclosed.
