19/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - EU High Representative Javier Solana welcomed, on 16 December, the opinion given by the Venice Commission on modalities for the referendum in Montenegro. He appointed the Slovakian diplomat, Miroslav Lajcak as personal representative for facilitating negotiations between political forces in Montenegro on the referendum to be held in March 2006 on the future of Montenegrin participation in the union formed with Serbia.
