Slovenia first new member country to hold Council presidency - Timetable till 2018

Brussels, 13/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - Monday's Council adopted a decision fixing the order of rotating presidencies until 2018. Slovenia will be the first of the ten new Member States to hold the presidency during the first half of 2008. The order of the presidencies will be as follows: 2006 (Austria, Finland); - 2007 (Germany/Portugal); - 2008 (Slovenia/France); - 2009 (Czech Republic/Sweden); - 2010 (Spain/Belgium); - 2011 (Hungary/Poland); - 2012 (Denmark/Cyprus); - 2013...
