Philippe Maystadt's term of office to be extended

Brussels, 07/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - Over dinner on 6 December, the EU25 finance ministers discussed the idea of renewing the term of office of Philippe Maystadt, Belgian President of the European Investment Bank. The ECOFIN Council suggested extending Maystadt's term of office for another five years from 2006 on. He took office in 2000.
