Brussels, 01/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Veneto region of Northern Italy is holding a conference in Venice on 5 December on the Middle East peace process entitled: 'Italy, a land for peace - the Veneto regions' role and action', where President Giancarlo Galan will speak about the close connections between Veneto and the Israeli and Palestinian health authorities and how healthcare cooperation can help make a tangible contribution to the Middle East peace process, explains a press release. EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner will send a message to the conference participants. In a press release, Gianlorenzo Martini, head of the Veneto region's representative office in Brussels, explains that the Venice conference will put forward operational suggestions for a comprehensive healthcare system.
