Jean-Claude Juncker is 2005 European of the Year

Brussels, 01/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - At a ceremony hosted in Brussels on 29 November by European Voice, Luxembourg prime minister Jean-Claude Juncker was declared 'European of the Year' for securing a yes-vote in Luxembourg after the French and Dutch no votes on the European Constitution. Former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski was declared 'Statesman of the Year' for his role in helping to ensure the Ukraine's Orange Revolution was carried out peacefully.
