Commission proposes reduction of 10% in 2006 for cod-fishing in Baltic and seasonal closures

Brussels, 28/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission on 24 November adopted a proposal on the total allowable catches (TACs) and quotas for 2006 in waters of the Baltic Sea. It is due to adopt its proposal for fishing opportunities in other EU waters (the North Sea, the Channel, the Bay of Biscay etc) on 30 November.
