Quality at centre of new Commission partnership for maritime transport announced for next November

Brussels, 27/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - During the Cyprus 2005 Conference in Larnaka, Commission vice president, Jacques Barrot, responsible for transport, announced that next November he will be presenting his new partnership for quality maritime transport, “Partnership for Quality Shipping”. This third package on maritime safety includes seven proposals and aims to consolidate and update existing legislation.
