29/08/2005 (Agence Europe) -The European Commission has authorised the Luxembourg group RTL, a subsidiary of the German group Bertelsmann, which is present in the media sector, to take exclusive control of the British group Channel 5. This group is a specialist in broadcasting and media and is also present in the field of Internet technologies. The operation, which raises no competition problems, was examined under the simplified procedure.
