24/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised plans by the American holding company, Danaher Corporation, to take sole control of the German company Leica Microsystems AG. The latter company makes high-precision optical instruments, and a range of instruments to analyse micro-structures, such as light microscopic systems or pathological diagnostics instruments. The operation, which has been put at 550 million dollars, was examined under the simplified procedure.
