19/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - Last week, the European Commission decided to provide EUR 7.9 million in aid (from the 9th European Development Fund) for the preparation and running of Cote d'Ivoire's presidential elections on 30 October. In a press release, the Commission explains that the aid will be supplied in close cooperation with the national administration, civil society and the international community, through the mediation of the African Union.
