20/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 19 July, Laszlo Kovacs, European Taxation and Customs Commissioner, met Belgian finance minister Didier Reynders to discuss European taxation issues, like the draft directive on taxation of private cars (see Europe Nos. 8973 and 8984), the thorny subject of reduced VAT (see Europe 8947) and progress in implementing the savings tax directive (which came into force on 1 July, see Europe 8963).
