EP Committee leaves bulk of regulation on children's medicines unchanged - To be followed up in September plenary

Brussels, 13/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - In the opinion of several commentators, the 13 July vote by the European Parliament's Environment and Public Health Committee on the report by French UMP MEP Francoise Grossetete on the children's medicines regulation was crucial. By 40 to 9 with 9 abstentions, the Environment and Public Health Committee adopted a report which does not challenge the bulk of the Commission's proposals.
