Brussels, 30/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - This week, the European Commission cleared the following operations according to expedited procedure:

  • acquisition of joint control of Hughes Network Systems LLC by Apollo Group Inc and DirecTV Group Inc in the field of telecommunications;

  • acquisition of Transamerica European Trailers (TET) by Goldman Sachs Group Inc and Cerberus Group in the field of road transport equipment;

  • and the acquisition of part of the activities of Alcoa Fujikura Ltd by...
