Opinions adopted on multi-annual programmes of seven Member States - Hungary should take supplementary measures in 2005

Brussels, 09/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, EU finance ministers adopted without much discussion several opinions on the seven Member States' stability and convergence programmes that the Commission had examined mid-February (EUROPE of 17 February). They followed the Commission's recommendations in the context of excessive deficit procedure against Hungary, calling on it to take additional measures to reduce its deficit in 2005 and keep its chances of coming back below the 3% mark by...
