ALDE and Green groups feel that Syria's withdrawal from Lebanon should be prerequisite of signing of association agreement

Brussels, 03/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - The various political groups of the European Parliament are getting ready to present their draft resolutions on the situation in the Lebanon, in Strasbourg next week. At this stage, there are no indications of any joint drafts. All the political groups want the elections planned for next May in Lebanon to take place under the best possible conditions and call on Syria to respect the UN resolutions which call for its withdrawal from Lebanon, but two...
