04/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, Markus Ferber (CSU) has criticised President Borrell, who went to the Vatican on Friday for an audience with the Pope (but was instead received by Secretary Sodano, due to the Pontiff's illness). “This is a bit rich”, said Mr Ferber, pointing out that when he was a member of the European Convention, Josep Borrell was among the Convention members opposed to any reference to Christian values in the Constitution.
