04/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - The President of the European Parliament, Josep Borrell, appealed on Friday for the Italian journalist Giuliana Sgrena, who was “kidnapped by terrorists in Iraq”, to be freed. Those behind this “abominable act must know that they will never manage to kill freedom of expression or to cut their country off from all relations with the outside world”, he said in a press release.
