Finnish company STORA ENSO has negotiated the acquisition of the French group PDF - PAPETERIES DE FRANCE (turnover of EUR 160 million in 2003 with 220 employees and 160,000 tonnes of paper sold) with its US competitor IP - INTERNATIONAL PAPER. The French group would become part of PAPYRUS (annual turnover of EUR 740 million), the commercial division of STORA ENSO.
