20/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Christian Liberation Movement (MCL), an illegal movement in Cuba, has called on the European Union to make its dialogue with the Cuban opposition official, AFP reports. In a press release entitled “Proposals to the European Union for the defence of the Cuban people”, signed by its president Oswaldo Paya, 2003 winner of the Sakharov Prize awarded by the European Parliament, the MCL calls for dialogue between the Troika and the EU and Cuban dissidents.
