11/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - Speaking to the press on Tuesday, the co-president of the Greens/EFA group, Daniel Cohn-Bendit, welcomed the Luxembourg Presidency's intentions to maintain the balance between the various planks of the Lisbon Strategy. It is, however, a different story at the European Commission, which seems to want to "sacrifice a bit of social and environmental on the altar of the economy", he added, concluding: "we face the prospect of a nice political row".
