15/12/2004 (Agence Europe) - During the third quarter of 2004,the hourly cost of labour increased 2% in the euro zone compared to the same period during 2003. In the EU25, the rise was 2.2%. Taking each country separately, the strongest rises were mainly recorded in Latvia (+11.1), the Czech Republic (+10.4%), Slovenia (+9.4%), and the lowest increases were in Germany (+0.9%), Italy (+1.1%) and Luxembourg (+1.2%).
