Strasbourg, 17/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - Beginning his speech on the results on the European Council of 4-5 November, Jan Peter Balkenende declared on Wednesday at the European Parliament that as Dutch prime minister he interpreted the murder of film director Theo van Gogh in broad daylight in Amsterdam as a crime that clearly demonstrated the need to apply "The Hague Programme" adopted by the 25 on the subject of the European freedom, security and justice area.
