EU and ECOWAS condemn violence in Côte d'Ivoire and call on all parties to observe peace agreements

Brussels, 09/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - The EU and ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States), meeting in Accra (Ghana) on Monday for their sixth ministerial troika strongly condemned the recent wave of violence in Côte d'Ivoire and said that they were prepared to cooperate with all willing parties to help find a peaceful solution to the conflict. This is the substance of the joint statement which was published at the end of their meeting:
