German group SIEMENS has launched a new take over bid for the Austrian industrial group, VA TECH (European turnover of EUR 3.9 bn with workforce of 17,500) for EUR 55 per share, which subsequently puts the value of the group at around EUR 845 million. the announcement of a new take-over bid was made after the acquisition on Sunday by the German conglomerate of 16.7% of VA TECH held by the Austrian holding company VICTORY.
