The British BT GROUP has acquired US telecommunications service provider INFONET (annual turnover USD 620 million with workforce of 1085 and customer base of 2060) for USD 965 million. This acquisition was approved by six of the main shareholders, which together control 97% of voting rights in the US company: operators such as the Japanese KDDI, KPN from the Netherlands, Swedish-Finnish company TLEIASONERA AB, TELEFONICA from Spain, SWISSCOM from Switzerland and the Australian company...
