Council calls on Commission to assess effects of "life-assurance" and pension fund (UCITS) directives on development of risk capital

Luxembourg, 26/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Council has adopted conclusions calling on the Commission to continue with its action plan on risk capital.

The Council is also calling on the Commission to ensure coherence of legislation. It is asking the Commission to assess the effects of the rules on the investment rules on venture capital funds laid down in the life assurance directive and the directive on undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (UCITS a directive...
