03/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - To coincide with the Gymnich-style meeting of EU foreign ministers, the Burmese military junta issued a press release calling on the UK, the country most staunchly opposed to Rangoon participating in the ASEM summit in Hanoi on 8/9 October, to adopt a more 'realistic' attitude. (See yesterday's Europe, p.4.)
