31/08/2004 (Agence Europe) - Speaking on the occasion of the annual ambassadorial conference held in Prague on 30 August, the new Czech Prime Minister, Stanislav Gross, said he would do everything in his power to ensure that the Czech Republic ratifies the European Constitution by referendum. Mr Gross would like consultation of the people (which requires the adoption of a special law) to take place at the time of the general elections scheduled for June 2006.
