30/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has authorised the acquisition of the Belgian company Balta Industries N.V, which makes carpets and other floor-coverings, by the British investment fund Doughty Hanson and Co. Ltd. The operation, which will cost 600 million euros, was notified on 25 June and examined under the simplified procedure.
